A Summer Soirée

It's hard to believe September is already here, but we still have 20 more days of summer and I'm holding on tight and soaking in these last warm (mostly hot and humid here in the South) days of sunshine. Hands down, my favorite evening of the entire summer was the night Anna Foushee and I transformed our backyard to host #ASummerSoiréeIt was the kind of evening that goes down in the history books and shapes our summer memories as much as each sweet friendship has shaped our hearts.

Two Cottage Luxe Signature Farm Tables were adorned with simple candles and olive branches to create a clean and natural setting, so that our friends could focus on conversations with each other, rather than decor. We decked our backyard with twinkling lights and the evening included soft music, LOTS of laughter, and delicious farm-fresh Italian dishes.

The subtle Italian influence was intended to emulate a culture that focuses on slowing down and enjoying meals with friends and good wine. We couldn't have done this without partnering with Cottage Luxe to seat all twenty four of our closest couple friends, which made for a truly unforgettable night.

The custom calligraphy place cards and chalkboard text was crafted by Milk & Honeycomband Anna and I ordered our olive branches and rosemary and loose florals from Serendipity Floral Designs and sourced the eucalyptus from our beloved Trader Joes.

Every couple brought an Italian inspired dish to share, and Stephanie made a gorgeous (and delicious!) Lemon and Olive Oil Cake.
