Meet our new intern, Taylor Thomas!

That's right, there's a new Taylor in town. This lovely lady recently entered our lives as a beautiful bride-to-be and after a pile of e-mails and timeline exchanges, she has now become one of our most cherished friends. During her engagement we were blown away by the love she had for others & it was consequently most evident on her wedding day (coming to the blog soon)! Taylor had a whopping 12 bridesmaids and before the ceremony, each said a prayer confirming how great of an impact she had made in their lives. Now we know how she did it, having been impacted ourselves through her marriage, through her testimony and through her friendship and we couldn't be more excited to introduce her to you today! We asked Taylor a series of questions and we invite you to read on to get a glimpse of our new friend!

1. Where are you from? Tell us about your hometown.

Growing up, my small town taught me how to seek beauty in the most unexpected places. I spent my time in the mountains of Tennessee cheering on the VOLS and eagerly awaiting the next outdoor excursion with my family.

2. Why do you love photography?

Beautiful things are all around us, hiding in the shadow of a tree or in the presence of a smile and a camera allows me to capture that forever. Pictures are full of emotion and memories that someone can look at forever, which is why I love photography because I get the privilege to capture those special moment for them.

3. What is one fear you would like to conquer, or one thing you would like to learn?

The ability to really know the in’s and out’s of a camera, to know really how to create a special image for someone to have forever.

4. What have you loved so far about interning with Blue Barn?

I have loved the community that Blue Barn brings and the atmosphere that inspires learning and growth as both a photographer and a woman.

5. Currently snacking on:

Frozen grapes

6. Favorite free time hobby?

I love spending time in the Word with Jesus. I also really enjoy a good cup of coffee with my husband and taking long bike rides!

7. Most memorable part of your own wedding?

I loved getting to spend time with Will the morning of our wedding. We sipped our coffee and read our vows to each other when it was just the two of us. It was intimate, calming and full of joy.

8. What is something you're looking forward to right now?

I am looking forward to learning more about photography and building new relationships.

9. What inspires you creatively?

I'm inspired specifically by the way people love and live life. Everyone is so different and it teaches me to look at everything with an open mind, and learn how to look at life and find beauty in authentic ways.

10. Tell us about you and Will. Share whatever you want from your story!

Will and I met at a Young Life Camp in the summer of 2015. He swept me off my feet by the way he loved me. It is a love that could only be topped by God’s love. Will pursued me for months as we dated long distance, and soon after we knew the Lord was preparing us for something bigger than we could imagine. That something was marriage. He proposed during a hiking trip we took in Chattanooga, Tennessee where I overwhelmingly said yes. We got married this summer and are now enjoying the new adventure we are on.

Here's a little sneak peek of this beauty in her lace. Stay tuned for more of Taylor & Will's Intimate Backyard Wedding being shared at the end of the week!

I'm Taylor's mother and I am going to brag a bit. She is the most loving and caring individual I know. She see's the good in everyone and everything. I truly believe she will instill her joyful spirit in her work within your company. You couldn't ask for a better person who sees the world as she does and I know it will reflect in everything she will do.
