Today I'm sharing my office space with you! The three words that I think of when I'm in this space are "fresh, bright and lovely". I feel that these three words are also a representation of my photography style so it's a perfect fit.
It's my goal to keep this space free of distractions so that my creativity can flourish whenever I'm here. I also make sure that everything in this space is either useful or a source of inspiration. The globe, the anthropologie mug that holds my pens, the butterfly tin that holds packaging materials and my dad's first camera are some of my favorite pieces and have all been gifted to me over the past few years.
For the walls I used Valspar's Mermaid Song which cost about $45 including some new paint brushes and rollers. The upholstered chevron chair was Christmas gift from this past year but it was purchased for only $100 from Meijer - much better than the $300 that Urban Outfitters charges. The leaning desk & bookshelf set was $280 total from The Container Store where I also spent $80 on file and CD storage boxes. The chair at my leaning desk was a $20 yard sale find from a few summers ago. The white table & chair are part of a set that our family gave to us when we got married - it originally belonged to Seth's grandma. I've spray painted the set and reupholstered the chair myself in a coral chevron fabric in under $25. In total I've spent $450 on furnishing and decorating the entire room. I'm so pleased with the results and love having a space that is so me.
